A few big things are currently underway in Joyful Roots land, and things might get messy around here shortly! I want to give you a little heads up because I’m going to be redoing the website to better accomodate my business. I love the blog here, but I need a better platform for sharing my work so that I can drum up more business and show what I can do in one place.
I’ve been struggling in my mind with how to arrange everything to meet all of my needs and desires, as well as yours. Actually, I started off by making a separate website for my portfolio, but then it felt too disconnected from the blog. On the other hand, I still want the blog to be a big part of the website, because I love the interaction with all of you. It fills me up!
So with all that in mind, I think I may have found a wordpress theme solution (until I decide to change things up again in about a day…lol). And now, some major construction is about to ensue, so please bear with me with it takes shape. 🙂
One of the really exciting reasons I’m so gung-ho about this is that the Oh my! Handmade Goodness (OMHG) Vendor Marketplace is going to opening soon and I’m going to be a part of it! OMHG is my absolute favorite blog and community and I’m just ecstatic to be able to join in all the new fun by making some of my services available: graphic design, art licensing, and illustration. Now I need to hurry up and fix my website so it shares in the goodness.
If you haven’t been to Oh My! Handmade Goodness yet, I think you will fall in love with it and Jessika – the curator, creator, and fabulous community builder! This month is all about ethics and there are a few very powerful posts from the last few days. You can also join in the Twitter fun tomorrow from 1-2 pm EST by signing on to tweetchat.com and using the hashtag #omhg. Jessica Nichols of SweetEventide will be there talking about ethics and copyrights. Hope to see you there!
Can't wait to see what you come up with Kim! Knowing your creative brilliance I am certain it will be AH-MAZING!!!

Oh this is just wonderful! I hopped over real quick when I saw your tweet to read about your plans and saw OMHG here & your lovely words! I am excited to be a part of this new evolution of your business and to help champion all your goodness in our new marketplace. Hooray for new roots and new adventures (+ the very best of friends!).
Hi Jessika! Thanks so much for stopping by. I know you are a super busy lady, so it means the world to me that you stopped by and commented! I couldn't ask for a better, bright, more brilliant community to be a part of! A definite HOORAY for all that is to come…building businesses and friendships! =D

My recent post Sneak peak
Thanks Ursula! I think the website is pretty much finished except for some minor changes and evolution that will occur as time goes on. I'm so stoked to be a part of the Oh My! Handmade Marketplace….good things have already happened with it! Yay! xoxo 🙂
