For several months we have been working “behind the scenes” on a special Fall/Winter collaborative project, and I am excited to finally be able to share it with you!
I write about thoughtful gifting and love to gift handmade and local products. I believe in simple traditions and experiences that bring people together , so I asked Kim to create a custom illustration for me for a mitten exchange holiday tradition.
Kim created two versions of the graphic – one simple, which I used to create a free printable mitten exchange party invitation available to my newsletter subscribers, and the other painted, which I am currently using in graphics to promote my mitten exchange blog series (November 7 & 14, 2013).
Isn’t her work stunning? It was so fun to work with Kim – she really understood my vision and we got to know each other through e-mail and Skype calls as we worked our way through the design process together.
Join me on the blog this week for tips and ideas for hosting your own handmade mitten exchange, and next week for gorgeous gift wrap inspiration for wrapping your mittens.
