The big MINI Art Marathon was a challenge that I created for myself for the month of January to start the new year off with a bang. One of my resolutions for 2013 was to create more, so I decided that committing to a creation marathon would be the perfect project. The art marathon helped push me toward developing a stronger sense of style and allowed me more experimentation in a less committal form with small canvases. Tiny houses were a reoccurring theme, stemming from my desire to transport people to new places through my art, and evoke a sense of nostalgia.
