When I was little, I used to paint on stones with my grandmother. We would comb the shoreline of Lake Michigan looking for our perfect canvases (the round, smooth, dark colored stones always worked the best). I’d paint ladybugs and butterflies; Grandma would paint birds. She loved birds.
We were in the moment – no worries. Just us and our stones.
It’s the simple moments like these that are life’s greatest gems.
