This was a hard post for me folks. Not because Ula isn’t fabulous, but because her work is so fabulous that I couldn’t choose what to showcase! Just one look at her dreamy and oh-so-imaginative art and you will be sucked into a world of color, texture, and fantasy.

And heeeeeere’s Ula:

Please tell us a little about what you create.

Hi, my name is Ula and I am a Polish girl living in France for 10 years now. My passion is illustration (print or original) and painting. After my day job, I love to sit at my desk and just draw or paint. I often create the images of sweet but sad girls with a lot of colours and sometimes I add some embroidery to my original paintings – I like playing with it.

Do you have a motto?

I have many mottos in my life but the one I prefer is

“Do what you love and everything will be ok”.

I believe that when we find our passion and what we really love to do in life, we find the best way to live it.

Can you tell us a little about your journey that led you to where you are and what you do?

I really found THE way in my life only last year. I’ve always loved to do beautiful things – drawing illustrations, painting, scrapbooking, taking photos, etc. – but only last year I decided to develop my blog (http://maiadream.blogspot.com ) more and concentrate on it. On the blog I post the DIY (also to do with your kids) weekly, a lot of inspiration and some pieces of my personal life. I love love doing it and I hope one day it’ll be possible form me to quit my day job and live only from my passion.

What is your most favorite project or piece that you have ever created?

I don’t’ know. Really. I love all of them. Or maybe the illustration I made when I was 15 or 16 years old of Jim Morrison (The Doors); I drew it in black and white on the huge paper sheet, with a lot of details and it was gorgeous. I found it few moths ago at my parent’s house (after 18 years) and it’s still very beautiful for me. I am so proud I did the illustration.

What big dreams do you have for the future?

My biggest dream is to leave my day work and to live from my passion and blogging. I know there is a long way to go before I achieve that goal, but I believe in my dreams!

Who are your role models or heroes?

I think the blogs of many American and English girls are the models for me. I really love how they manage their crafting passion with writing blogs and marketing them. It’s real work.

Can you describe where your inspiration comes from? (Do you perhaps have a
process or ritual that you use to evoke inspiration?)

My inspirations are my children. I like listening to the stories they imagine or to observe them when playing and it always inspires me to draw. I look for the inspiration on the Web too, but I realize that we spend too much time surfing on the Web looking for the inspiration, which we may find easily around us. So I try to switch off from the computer and go out for a walk.

Can you offer one piece of advice to our readers?

Find what you love in your life and go for it no matter what the others say. Believe in yourself and in your dreams!

What plans do you have for the future?

As I wrote earlier, I really would like to concentrate on developing my blog, but also my Etsy shop – more marketing.

Finish this sentence:  For me, it’s the best feeling in the world when…

I stay at home with my family, we craft, we play in the garden or just we are happy to be together.
